This is a squad aimed at those who do not wish to row competitively for the club, it was started off the back of the explore rowing scheme and the learn to row course.
In the Summer there are 2 sessions a week, on a Sunday and the other on Wednesday in the evening (dependant on daylight), in the winter there is only the Sunday session
There are a mix of boats to go out in: either the explore rowing boats or the fine boats (dependant on ability)
We run a yearly event called the Presidents paddle, where several members of the club (recreational and competitive) take the explore rowing boats up to the lakes for a weekend of rowing.
There is also the recreational rowing regatta, where several local clubs come together for a day of fun racing
